41st EET Four Villages Half Marathon

The EET Four Villages Half Marathon on Sunday 19th January 2025 celebrates its 41st race.

Organised by Helsby Running Club, the award-winning road race is supported by a team of volunteers from local community groups. Proceeds from this event help to support our local community groups and charities.

Last year was a sell out, and with a race limit of 1,700 runners, make sure you sign up early to avoid disappointment. It's a great race to keep you training over the festive period and perfect preparation for the spring marathon season!

Pre-order your race T-Shirt

Our infamous race T-Shirts feature designs by local primary school children and are available in short and long sleeve. Please pre-order when you enter - pick up is at Race HQ on the day.

Please note there is a strict 3 hour cut off time to complete the race. Due to road closure timings and the safety of everyone during a winter race. If you are at the 10 mile marker/clock after 2 hours 20 minutes from the official race start, you will be politely asked to stop and transported to Race HQ.

We understand sometimes you enter a race and something crops up. As soon as you enter we incur costs, so have the following fair and simple refund policy:

• Cancellation up to and including 1 December 2024: refund minus £2 admin
• Cancellation up to and including 11 Jan 2025: refund minus £5 admin
• After 11 Jan 2025 we are unable to offer a refund.

You can transfer your entry using the on-line entry system up to Saturday 18 Jan 2025.  Transfering is simple and all transfers must be done by you through this website. If you have already received your number, you are responsible for getting it to the new runner.

This is a winter race and we will be operating full road closures on the route to reduce the possibility of the race being cancelled on the day due to bad weather. Please take note of weather conditions on the day and wear appropriate footwear and clothing for your own safety. In the unlikely event we do have to cancel the race on the day we are unable to offer a refund. All proceeds from the event go to support local charities and community groups and the continued running of the 4 Villages Half Marathon.

For the safety of runners and marshals we expect entrants to be able to complete the race within 3 hours.
